Jacquline on April 15, 2007

In April 2007, Jacquline was diagnosed with bone cancer, Ewing’s sarcoma. These pages have been created to keep you updated on her progress and to help you find information about this type of cancer. If you would like to contribute, please check the support forum for details. And of course, donations are always welcome!

Jacquline is being treated at Kapiolani Children’s Hospital on Oahu (Hawaii). On Sept. 5, 2007, she underwent surgery at Seattle’s Childrens Hospital where the tumor in the right part of her pelvis was removed.

Don’t forget to leave Jacquline a note in her guestbook.

Jacquline, we love you!

May 12, 2008:

Jacquline is doing well and has completed chemo and radiation, as well as all follow up scans and tests. The test results were good and various tubes have been removed. Now all emphasis is on after-care to give her the best possible chance not to relapse.

The email below may be the last one for a while since the Steves family is about to embark on a trip to Forida and Europe. --- Uli

Hi Everyone,

I am happy to say that we truly have made it through the woods!!!!!

Jacquline is feeling great and looks wonderful. Her hair is growing back and she is tanned and swimming again for the first time in over a year.

We are all off to Disney World tomorrow and we could not be happier.

We will spend two weeks in Disney with a one week stop to visit my family and to pay my respects to my beloved Grand Mother and Grand Father in Tennessee Who passed away recently at the age of 100, in between all of the fun stuff, Sea World, Disney, Universal Studios, Animal Kingdom and the works.

Jacquline is really happy to have all of the chemo and radiation behind her as well as 8 painful surgery's.

Jacquline got to go swimming this weekend at the Westin Maui Resorts thanks to a whole staff of really wonderful folks from Keikis Dream and the Westin Maui.

Dominique, Jacquline and Naima (Dominique's good friend) Got their make a wish on Maui and where Princesses for the weekend and got the royal treatment complete with a royal Sweet,Grand red carpet reception and breakfast in bed and they swam in the pools (all 3 of them) all 2 days until they where one big prune.

Annette got to go scuba diving and got to go to the spa for the day and I got to lounge by the pool with the girls all day with the phone turned off.

We had fancy princess banquets every night and we rode in a stretch limo to and from the resort, All thanks to Darby Gill and Mat Grauso and their staff.

Thank you both so very much.

We are truly blessed to have so many wonderful folks behind us to help us feel special and loved and make Jacqulines life feel so special and important.

We could not have made it this far without all of the help from so many great and wonderful people.

We love you all.

Vince and his Girls Annette Dominique Jacquline and Simone.
